PSALM 28

How would you define evil? All sorts of things come to mine... but David's description is somewhat shocking! "Do not drag me away with the wicked, with those who do evil, {now here it comes-} who speak cordially with their neighbors but harbor malice in their hearts."
How many times have we excused this kind of behavior, with "I was just being polite."  "Harboring malice" would seem to imply a deep seeded conviction of ill will for someone else and the Bible calls it EVIL.  May we all clean out  evil malice, repair our relationship with others and with the Lord who loves both us and our neighbor equally.

Here is a photo of an ancient symbol for drama...the smile and the frown... I found this symbol in the ancient ruins of Philippi a city in Greece. Two faces... like the person who gives a cordial greeting but  behind the greeting is seething destructive anger.
