John 17:20-26
The Church has failed in so many ways... imperfect people tripping up on our own sinfulness... sometimes in small ways and in large splashy headlines. Perhaps one of our greatest blemishes is revealed here: "May they {Christ's followers} be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them, even as You have loved me." Oh that we could dwell together in unity, instead of our local squabbling and the grand global stage of divisions and intolerance.
