John 11:38-44
Dear Martha, was always so practical... here she reminds Jesus that Lazarus has been dead 4 days and if they follow his directions to open the grave... a bad odor will be released! She believed in Jesus. She loved Jesus. She was a disciple of Jesus. She just did not have the vision to see the glory present in Jesus Christ. Jesus responded to her, "Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?" There were no more objections heard. Lazarus's tomb was opened. "Jesus called in a loud voice,'Lazarus, come out!' The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face. Jesus said to them, 'Take off the grave clothes and let him go.'" Is that enough GLORY for you! {And look who is being practical- Jesus! In the crowd's amazement no one was tending to Lazarus's needs as a "once I was dead and now I am alive" person! So Jesus speaks up on behalf of Lazarus.
