JOHN 12:37-50

Today I want to look back on John 12:20-26. Some Greek speaking non-Jews wanted to meet Jesus, so they sought out some of his disciples and said, "Sir, we would see Jesus." {It is an old Scottish tradition to place these very words on the backside of pulpits. Preachers would approach and be reminded that the congregation's need was to hear about Jesus.} When Jesus heard of this request he answered by referring to his impending death. In other words, Jesus is saying, if you want to meet me, you will find me on the cross...expressing my love for you!
