Cluttered Inbox?

Driving through the rolling farm country of Pennsylvania, I came upon this unusual site. You think you have stress over your cluttered inbox!

MONDAY MORNING

No matter which direction you're headed in, may God's wind be always at your back! (Tourist at Cape of Good Hope in South Africa)

The longer way home ...

Driving home from the beach, I ran out of gas...well to be more precise ... I was on the Florida Turnpike with 9 more miles to a gas station with enough gas for 4 miles! I stopped before I completely ran the tank dry. After 20 years in my trunk, I finally used my emergency triangle! I called AAA and waited for help to arrive. In the meantime I found the following shots to mark the spot in my memory... {and note to self: "Fill up tank before driving home from the beach!"}

Africa's Tree of Life

This is the African continent's BAOBAB TREE.. most are  hundreds of years old. They stand up to Elephant abuse and the ravages of climate.. but strip mining in Zimbabwe? See the tree in the far distance...so far it is still alive....

Water over the falls

What makes Victoria Falls unique besides it's one mile long falls, is the route the water takes after the falls.... a snake like series of gorges carries the water down stream.  Here are other helicopter taken photos:

Fast Food in the African Bush

Our tour leader referred to Impala as the McDonald's or the fast food of the bush! They even wear the logo to prove it! Do you use the "M"?

Friends

Elephants live in a female directed society... when males reach a certain age they are kicked out of the "family" to seek out other companionship. The mothers and aunts then raise the young. These grown females demonstrate found friendship toward each other.

strange ...

I really don't know what happened with this photo ... the exposure / light gives it a strange surreal look.  We found these penguins on the Cape of Good Hope.
No snow or ice to be found!

MANY LITTLE THINGS

Leopard Tortoise
Crocodile
Porcupine
Testy fly

BIG BIRD!

Who knew we would find Ostriches on the Cape of Good Hope, at the tip of the African Continent?

BABOONS

Yes they are cute...but will steal the food right off your plate! This "Troop" of baboons were resting and playing along the dirt road about 10 feet from our jeep. We didn't bother them and they cared less about us. I LOVED THIS AFRICAN TRIP!

LIFE

God's power to bring life in the most unlikely places! This tree's trunk is truly pitiful. Yet.....

DANGER

One of the most dangerous animals of Africa's bush is the Cape Buffalo. If they charge ...they follow through!  Both male and female have horns, but the male's horns grow to cover their entire forehead...to protect them in battle with other males. Check out the birds!
