1968 Germany

The year was 1968. I graduated College and went on a educational trip to Europe with college friends and professors. Here is the former coal barge that was our home for a week as we floated down the Rhine River and yes that is me standing on the barge.

I never knew my grandmother Lena, but we did have our photos taken in the same spot! ... The location is very near the Old Darlington Homestead, (in Chester County PA),  where my mother was born. A BIG thank you to the  extended Serum family who have granted my family the privilege to visit this important site in our family's history.

BACK ROADS

On my way home from a great weekend conference in Knoxville TN. I took the scenic route and found myself on some dirt roads as I navigated between Tennessee, North Carolina and Georgia.

Traveling through Georgia I stopped to watch this flock of vultures? Or at least I think they are vultures! Whatever they carry themselves with grace and beauty.
